On Monday, June 15, 2015, Adobe announced Creative Cloud 2015. I downloaded InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Muse and, I’m liking the new features and performance enhancements.
Install Warning: When you choose to update to Creative Cloud 2015, the default is to Remove old versions. Last year some people were confused by having CC (2013) and CC (2014) installed, so Adobe changed the default behavior, which is catching many people by surprise. You can uncheck “Remove old versions” before updating by clicking on the Advanced button in the Creative Cloud App.
There are several reasons to keep an old version installed. Maybe you’re in the middle of large project and want to wait until it’s complete, or you have plug‐ins installed and the updates for 2015 are not available yet. I have three InDesign plug‐ins installed and right now only one, Easy Catalog, is available for 2015. Both InData and Smart Styles have NOT been updated to work with 2015 at this point.
